HypER: Hypotheses, Evidence & Relationships
Welcome to the emerging HypER research community.

The next step in the evolution of the digital research infrastructure is the detection, navigation and analysis of  Hypotheses, Evidence & Relationships in the literature: the building blocks of knowledge-level claims.

This community brings together researchers in argumentation, computational linguistics, sociology of science, hypermedia, semiotics, semantic and pragmatic web.

The community orginally met at the Kickoff Meeting, May 11-12 2009, Amsterdam, hosting generously by Elsevier Science, chaired by Anita de Waard. We're now planning our activities on this wiki. Also, we are using Twitter to talk about HypER Ideas and news, #HypER.

We very much welcome new members!

NEWS IN BRIEF:

On May 22, the W3C HCLS Scientific Discourse Task Group voted to adopt / facilitate the first two action items from the May 12 discussion as part of its activities. Representatives from the BioRDF and Terminology Task Groups (Kei Cheung and Scott Marshall) were also on the call, and supported these HypER tasks as cross-group activities within HCLS.  Here are the initial Task Alignment notes.
